East | West began with a simple belief: the most fulfilling lives make room for two kinds of energy — the drive to move forward, and the ability to return to what matters.
So the club is designed for both. For play, work, and ambition — and for health, connection, and the feeling of being completely at ease. A place that helps you move through the world with purpose, without losing yourself in the process. Somewhere you never need an occasion to come in and stay a while.

How this started.
Shankar and Ryan have been friends for more than twenty years — through Boeing and startups, marriages and kids, and a standing habit of sneaking out for a midday round. Seattle was always home.
The idea arrived slowly, then all at once: Shankar kept coming back from trips to India describing the old clubs there, and the question that followed him home eventually stopped being a question and started being a plan.
Neither of them wanted the usual country club — they'd tried it, and left unconvinced. So they're building the opposite: two buildings on Dravus, somewhere easy and uncrowded, a place you fall into on an ordinary Wednesday and leave having run into three people you actually wanted to see.
